Oscars Nominees Luncheon 2022

Oscars Nominees lunch means a room full of love, celebration and mutual support, reminding us that we are a community after all! What is special about the event is how each and every nominee gets the same rousing applause from the whole room!

I was at an awesome table — Jessica Chastain is simply electrifying as Tammy Faye; AIDS activist Steve Pieters’ pivotal interview with Tammy Faye inspired Jessica to take on the role; Maggie Gyllenhaal joins the pantheon of exciting woman directors; Maria Brendle directed a heart-breaking short, ALA KACHUU; And Teruhisa Yamamoto, producer of DRIVE MY CAR! (Maria and Teruhisa not pictured)

And of course, loved seeing Penelope Cruz with Javier Bardem on stage, Steven Spielberg, Jessica Kingdon, director of ASCENSION, Pawo Dorji, director of the Bhutanese film LUNANA, and so many others. I keep forgetting to take more pictures!
