Movies about Inspiring Teachers

Many parents who are home schooling now appreciate teachers more than ever. I too have been thinking how our education system needs a major overhaul – are we teaching our children to be good citizens, with strong character and integrity, or are we supplanting intellectual curiosity with massive amounts of data? How interesting that many schools are eliminating SAT’s, etc.

Here are some deeply memorable movies about teachers in very challenging circumstances who may inspire us today. It so happens that two of the teachers are Black, two are women, one is Latino, and the remaining two are both played by Robin Williams!
